In 2021, the first painting of the Autumn Lady's Tresses was created. I have dedicated two paintings to this species, as it fascinated me greatly. This smallest and most delicate orchid species blooms in autumn in the Donau-Auen National Park and was created as a protective image for the species as part of my nature conservation art project. A total of 26 painted orchid pictures were created as part of the project "The Orchids of the Donau-Auen National Park", on which I worked from autumn 2020 to autumn 2023.

The small, delicate white flowers of the Autumn Lady's Tresses entwine upwards into a colorful abstract background and shine out from it.

The height (length) of the work is 110 cm, the width 60 cm. The sealed acrylic painting is stretched on an individually cut, commercially available stretcher frame (approx. 1.8 cm thick).

The size of the painting makes it excellent as a main picture in a medium-sized room, office, waiting room, etc., that it makes cheerful and elegant and enlivens.

I am increasingly using environmentally friendly paints and materials.

I frame, pre-prime, and prime many of my works myself, just like the present work. I skip the step of sanding the canvases, which has the effect that the picture cannot be counterfeited, as the tiny elevations of the fabric structure of the canvas cannot be replicated. For me, these represent an artistic fingerprint! In everyday viewing of the painting, these small elevations are not distracting.
